The best way to describe Ho Chi Minh City a.k.a. Saigon? Huuuge and pretty modern city with totally crazy traffic. The population is over 8 million inhabitants, so there are probably 8 million motorbikes in the streets 🙂 The development runs very fast: so many new high rises everywhere, and does not matter that still half-empty after few years.
As the true tourists we had to see Independence palace and Notre Dame Cathedral. We even visited (and without anyone’s protest) Museum of Ho Chi Minh City. The most impressive and also expensive view over the night city was possible from Skydeck Tower. This city offers intensive experience, though three days were just enough 🙂
And thanks to Chris from Couchsurfing, who opened his apartment to us and we could stay over the night 🙂 And also to Hannie for great time and dinner. It was nice to meet you 🙂
Jak nejlepe popsat Ho Chi Minhovo mesto nebyli Saigon? Strasne obrovskeee a vcelku moderni metropole, kde vladne totalne blazniva doprava. Ma pres 8 milionu obyvatel, tudiz po meste jezdi asi 8 milionu motorek 🙂 Vystavba ve meste jede ohromujici rychlosti, vsude roste spousta novych vezaku, prestoze ty jiz postavene jsou stale poloprazdne i po par letech…
Crazy development in District 2, Vinhome Central Park
Jako pravi turiste jsme navstivili Palac Nezavislosti a mistni katedralu Notre Dame. Dokonce jsme sli do muzea Ho Chi Minhu (a to bez zadnych protestu) 🙂 Nejvice ohromujici a zaroven nejdrazsi byl vyhled na nocni mesto z Skydeck Tower. Zazitek z mesta velmi intenzivni, ale tri dny byly tak akorat 🙂
