On the way from Cameron highlands to the island Langkawi we made a stop in George Town on Penang island. It is another town listed in UNESCO World Heritage Site, but for no particular reason we kind of like it 🙂 There are many nice colonial buildings and actually all old town is good place for evening walk… You may walk from Fort Cornwallis to traditional Lim Jetty neighbourhoud built on the pylons by the sea. And do not overlook the street art, it is kind of funny:-) So overall, good place to spend a day 🙂
Pri ceste z Kameronske vysociny na ostrov Langkawi jsme zastavili na jeden den v George Town na ostrove Penang. Je to vlastne dalsi mesto zapsane v UNESCO, ale z nejakeho zvlastniho duvodu se nam libilo 🙂 Nachazi se zde spousta krasnych kolonialnich budov a cele stare mesto nabizi peknou vecerni prochazku… Projdete se tak od pevnosti Cornwallis az do puvodni ctvrti Lim Jetty, kde domy stoji na drevenych pylonech na kraji more. A neprihlednete poulicni umeni, ma svuj vtip 🙂 Tudiz fajn misto na straveni jednoho vecera 🙂
