Dalat

After boiling Ho Chi Minh we moved to Dalat, smaller town located in the mountains at altitude of 1500 m. So it’s not hot at all! 20 to 25 degrees during the day,  but 10 to 15 during the night… As cold indicator, our coconut oil turned to solid form,  so no need to keep food in the fridge 🙂

Being in Dalat let you experience different image of Vietnam… Clean streets,  lake in the centre and nice promenades create together very nice spot to enjoy fresh air. Probably the reason to be the most popular place for Vietnamesse honeymoon 😉 Of course, we did not miss local touristic inferno, Linh Phuoc Pagoda with sooo many dragons 🙂 Sooo great 🙂 The Pagoda is decorated with ceramic and glass mosaic, very impressive work though! And Crazy house, which is designed in very crazy natural style… This is super crazy great!!!

To explore the surroundings we rent a motorbike. But this time it was quite funny… When your motorbike has a problem with a starter at the beginning, you can be sure that it will not get better 😉 when we reached Elephant waterfalls about 30 km far, it just did not want to get started… Luckily, Honza is very professional driver in all aspects and he turned this old yamaha into the life again 🙂 But the way back was full of doubts 🙂

The next day we went to Lang Biang mountains and actually made our first hike in Asia! The trail took us through beautiful pine tree forest to mountain jungle. Although the view from Lang Biang peak (2167 m) offered just milky illusion, the hike was pretty interesting,  especially at the end on muddy wet stairs. The view satisfaction came from viewpoint at former radar station (1950 m) on the other side of the mountain massive 🙂 Brilliant!

Po varicim se Ho Chi Minhu jsme dorazili do mestecka Dalat leziciho 1500 m nad morem uprostred hor. Takze moc teplo tu neni… 20 az 25 behem dne, v noci tak 10, maximalne 15 stupnu… I nas kokosovy olej zatuhl, tudiz lednicka na jidlo neni vubec potreba 😉

Dalat vam predstavi uplne jiny svet ve Vietnamu. Ciste ulice, jezero uprostred mesta a pesi promenady vytvareji opravdu pekne a prijemne misto.  Proto je to asi nejoblibenejsi misto na libanky pro Vietnamce 😉 Samozrejme jsme neminuli hlavni turisticky cil, Linh Phuoc Pagodu. A tech draku 🙂 Cela pagoda je dekorovana mozaikou s kermickych a sklenenych oblazku, vcelku ohromujici prace. A jeste Crazy house, ktery je navrzeny v opravdu crazy prirodnim stylu 🙂 Naprosto blaznivy zazitek 🙂

Na prozkoumani okoli jsme si pujcili motorku. Tentokrat to bylo celkem vtipne… Pokud totiz startuje spatne hned na zacatku,  muzete si byt jisti, ze se to rozhodne nezlepsi 😉 Tak jsme dojeli se podivat na Sloni vodopady asi 30 km od Dalatu a malem neodjeli… Honzik je ale sikovny kluk ve vsech ohledech a privedl tu starou herku yamahu k zivotu. Cesta zpet byla ale plna pochybnosti 🙂

Dalsi den jsme vyrazili na horu Lang Biang (2167 m) a sli nasi prvni horskou turu v Asii! Cesta vedla nejdrive skrz borovicovy les a ke konci pres horsky prales.  Z vrcholu jsme sice diky mlze videli kulovy, ale cesta nahoru byla zajimava, hlavne pod vrcholem na mokrych a zablacenych schodech 🙂 Poteseni z vyhledu jsme pak nasli na druhe strane masivu z vyhlidky (1950 m) na miste byvaleho radioveho vysilace 🙂 Super!
