Under such name you expect to find something awesome and very yammy :-)) Chocolate hills are considered to be the most famous attraction in Bohol and in this case it would be such a pitty if you have missed it. These little treeless hills are very cute and look like islands in a green sea. Or like sand forms made by children when they are building sand castles 🙂
There are few legends why these hills’ve got their name. Either it is because of the colour, when it turns brown in late summer (now it was still green). Or because of local chocolate producer, because they make a chocolate bar with such shaping. Or because of the giant who was very sad and cried a lot and dropped eye tears everywhere… Just not sure how it may explain then the brown colour 😀
The way to Chocolate hills area is quite long, especially when you go on an older motorbike. So prepare your butts 🙂 Luckily, on the way you can make stops to see other interesting spots, for example, Men made forest. The tall and straight trees are meeting together just above the road and it looks like then natural interior of the cathedral 🙂 The temperature droped down significantly so you also enjoy some refreshing air on otherwise really hot day…
Pod takovym nazvem clovek ocekava neco moc hezkeho a k nakousnuti 🙂 Chocolate hills (Cokoladove kopce) jsou hlavni atrakci na Boholu a v tomto pripade by byla opravdu skoda sem nejet. Tyto kopecky pokryte jen travou vypadaji velmi roztomile a pusobi jako spousta rozesetych ostruvku v zelenem mori. Nebo jako babovicky, kdyz si male deti hraji na piskovisti 🙂
Existuje nekolik legend vysvetlujicich jejich cokoladovy nazev. Jedna z nich je diky hnede barve, kterou maji v pozdnim lete (ted byly porad zelene). Jina teorie je zalozena na mistnim vyrobci, ktery vyrabi podobne tvarovane tabulky cokolady. Nebo se pak jeste vypravi pribeh o smutnem obrovi, co plakal a vsude tak nasazel svoje slzy, a zbyly po nem male koepcky… Jen uz to nevysvetluje jejich hnede zbarveni 😀
Cesta na Cokoladove kopce trva celkem dlouho, hlavne pokud jedete na starsim skutru 🙂 Takze si poradne namasirujte zadky 😀 Nastesti je po ceste nekolik zajimavosti, napr. Men made forest. Stromy v tomto miste jsou rovne a vysoke a potkavaji se presne uprostred na silnici, takze si pak pripadate jako v interieru prirodni katedraly. Take to je prijemne osvezeni diky vyraznemu poklesu teploty v jinak parnem dni na slunicku…
