We kept north direction and arrived in Chiang Rai, 200 km from Chiang Mai. This city has much smaller scale and more rural character. It applies that more north less traffic ๐ So riding a motorbike here was piece of cake. The city has AGAIN huge market including street food, grocery, burcher, fruits and flowers, and of course number of dress shops and surprisingly many jewelleries.
More exciting than Chiang Rai was though the surroundings. Starting at White Temple (it is in top 10 of Thailand, so we had to see it ๐ but actually it was quite nice…), we went to Khun Korn Waterfall, 70 metres high, probably the third highest one in Thailand. And we finished our day trip in Doi Chang mountains which are famous for planting coffee and macadamia. Yes, we know now how such a tree looks like ๐ I must say that the countryside was just amazing. We made 150 km on motorbike but it was worthy!
Nakonec jsme jeli do Doi Chang hor, znamych pestovanim kavy a makadamu.
Zelenรฝ hop temple in Saaz je teda sympatictejsi…
