By accident rather than purpose we made our first stop in Malaysia in Malacca City aka Melaka… Internet says it is the oldest city in Malaysia and since 2008 it has been listed in World Culture Heritage list. But dont forget that this is Asian UNESCO, so no problem to build huge shopping centres just next to the old town… Another perfect example of the different approach in protection :-/
There are few nice spots but overall it is nothing special. At least food is not bad 🙂 The famous Jonker Walk street is full of tourist shops so hard to find little bit of authenticity… Christ church and St Paul’s church are nice cultural elements and the view from the hill is also nice… So after that take a lunch and continue on your journey 🙂
Kostel Krista v anglickem stylu a kostel sv.
