To come to Hue was a last minute decision and we do not regret it… The three main reasons why you should not skip this city: history, culture and no Russians 😀 As Hue used to be Imperial capital, it is full of historical sites including Royal palace, thombs of kings and many other ruins. So of course we could not miss the Royal palace (citadel), as Honza insisted on going there 😀
The citadel covers nice and truly large area with many temples, houses, theatre and gardens (it is not under UNESCO protection for nothing). But what we really enjoyed was the abandoned water park Ho Thuy Tiên. Great place to be explored, especially the large dragon statue (as a view tower), amphitheater, car statue and space simulator. Funny was also entering this place. The guy at the entrance: 20.000 vnd. Do you sell tickets? No. Is it official? No. What a scammer! So did we pay? No 😀
Hue is really nice city, with promenades along the river and historical gates around the old city. People here seem to be much more friendly than elsewhere, which we appriciate the most 🙂 Just coconuts are not available everywhere, where are you?! We also rode to the seascape 10 km from Hue, where nobody was (neither coconuts…), but it was great place for relax and enjoying viet at the open South China Sea…
Rozhodnuti jet do Hue probehlo na posledni chvili a neni ceho litovat… Hlavni tri duvody, proc sem vyrazit: historie, kultura a zadni Rusaci 😀 Jelikoz byvalo Hue hlavnim meste drivejsiho kralostvi, nachazi se zde spousta pamatek z te doby vcetne kralovskeho palace, hroby kralu a dalsi vykopavky. Honzik trval na tom, ze do palace musime jit stuj co stuj, tak jsme si to nenechali ujit 😉
Palac se rozklada na velke plose a zahrnuje chramy, domy, divadlo a zahrady, vse obklopeno vodnimi kanaly (taky neni v UNESCO jen tak). Nejvice nas ale nadchnul opusteny zabavni park Ho Thuy Tiên. Hlavne tedy obrovska socha draka v jezere jako rozhledna, zarostly amfiteatr, socha trabanta a vesmirny simulator. Vtipny byl take prijezd do parku. Typek na brane: 20.000 vnd. Date listek? Ne. Je to oficialni? Ne. Ach ty uplatky… Takze jsme zaplatili? Ne 😀
Hue je velmi pekne mesto s prijemnymi promenadami podel reky a historickymi branami okolo stareho mesta. Lide se chovaji mnohem pratelsteji nez jinde ve Vietnamu, coz ocenujeme nejvice 🙂 Jen kokosy se nedaji moc dobre sehnat, kdepak jste?! Vyjeli jsme take 10 km za mesto na pobrezi Jihocinskeho more, kde nebyl skoro nikdo (ani ty kokosy), ale jinak super misto bez lidi s vyhledem na more 🙂
