When we googled out how long it takes to get from Rach Gia to Can Tho, which is about 100 km far, google said 3 hours. So after the journey by lorry we understand 🙂 What is typical for south of Vietnam? Very large and nicely green rice fields and enormous canals system. This might give you a hint… Due to all canals there are many bridges. But it looks like that the roads and bridges were constructed by someone else. Or I cannot find better explanation for the stair, literally, you have to get over after getting on and of the bridge 😀 and about the roads quality not necessary to speak 😉
Can Tho is the biggest city in Mekong delta region. It is quite fascinating how the Mekong river is changing its character and how it is used in each region/country. The houses in the city centre are rather small, on average 3 floors, so you must wonder where the 1.5 million of inhabitants live… 🙂
Kdyz jsme zadali do googlu vyhledat trasu mezi Rach Gia a Can Tho, ktere jsou od sebe asi 100 km, google ukazoval cestu okolo 3 hodin. Po jizde nakladakem uz chapeme 🙂 Jizni Vietnam je krajina krasne zelenych ryzovych poli a rozsahleho systemu kanalu. To uz dava malou napovedu, jelikoz pres kazdy kanal vede most. Vypada to ale, ze cesty a mosty stavel nekdo jiny… Na kazdem moste musite prekonat vyskovy rozdil jednoho schodu, doslova, takze jizda je opravdovym zazitkem… A tech mostu je opravdu hodne 😀 o kvalite silnic ani nemluve…
Can Tho je nejvetsi mesto v Delte Mekongu. Je fascinujici, jak se reka promenuje v kazde oblasti/zemi a jak je vyuzivana. Domy ve meste jsou vcelku nizke, v prumeru 3 patra, tudiz kde zije tech 1.5 milionu lidi?! 🙂
